In May 2006, the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) granted Category 1 certification for airports and aeronautical operations safety in Ecuador.
This certification guarantees the functionality of the country’s airports and the efficiency of our company, FBO-AIRMASTER, in providing the services required from Ecuador.
As of July 2006, the city of Guayaquil has a new passenger terminal, offering greater comfort for the flow of arriving and departing passengers. The facility has been renamed the “José Joaquín de Olmedo” International Airport (ICAO code: SEGU).
State-of-the-art Air Traffic Control technology has been authorized by the local aviation authority (DGAC) through the implementation of modern radars for flight safety within the SEGU Flight Information Region (FIR). This technology, combined with highly trained technical personnel, ensures safety during air navigation across Ecuadorian territory, particularly at the Guayaquil terminal.
